This 1938 art deco DUPLEX home was purchased in June of 2012 by Jimmy Brattain, owner of Design Works and has been under renovation every since. An award winning designer and builder, Mr. Brattain has brought his family's history to life in the quaint town of Gulfport, FL. The concept of the property was inspired by the memory of his grandmother and love of his grandfather who moved to Gulfport after WW11.
The property features a shared pool, private courtyard and parking for two vehicles, custom finishes, such as original murals, crown molding, pecky cypress ceiling, custom fabric backed banquette seating, floor to ceiling marble bathroom, custom lighting including LED recessed lights, ceiling fans, stainless steel appliances including microwave, quartz counter tops, porcelain faux wood flooring, DVD player, wireless Internet, flat screen TV's, washer/dryer, private courtyard, parking for 2 vehicles.

Summary: Really enjoyed our stay and wish it had been longer. The place was clean and loved the decor. The pool was an added bonus to our stay. Communication with the property owner was always prompt and available when needed. Great community to walk in and so close to many restaurants and shopping!

Summary: Jimmy is an excellent host....his place is clean, modern, and extremely comfortable. The location is ideal... 2 blocks from the gulfport veach and an easy 10-15 minute drive to St. Petes beach.

Summary: This property was amazing. The artwork and attention to detail was truly exceptional. The location to the main strip in Gulfport was great. Our host was very helpful and communicated with us regularly throughout our stay. We hope to stay at this property again soon!

Summary: This property, although older, has alot of CHARM! We loved the location and the art district it was around. The check in process was a breeze and the house itself was well stocked!!! Jimmy gave us great recommendations in the area and check on our visit a few times just to ensure we were all comfortable. We thank you and will be back (hopefully soon).

Summary: I can’t wait for another occasion to go back to the fantastic vacation rental! The design of this place is just spectacular and an art deco heaven. It was so relaxing and peaceful and the whole house is well appointed. This will be the only place I stay when going to the St Pete area. Love it!!
